I’m a big fan of the AMC series MAD MEN. While watching the current episode, I got inspired to make my own version of the show logo…

I know it has been a few weeks since I wrote last, and I apologize. Even though I have been out of work, I have been fairly busy.
Here is what I have been up to:
For a class project in Web Design, we need to make a band website. Strangely enough, I recently designed a band logo for RetroStatic (website coming soon…). Recently, they had a show for Taylorsville Days and got a banner created for the event. They encouranged me to do the same. Below are the designs and a photo featuring the banner… IN ACTION!!!

While I was looking for some info about the latest issue of WIRED above, about J.J. Abrams and found out about HOUSE Industries. House Industries, who is a font design firm designed the cover. The fonts are really fun and amazing. They also sell some really kewl T-shirts.

I just want to apologize for not updating for a while, life has been a bit CRAZY!!!
Recently, I applied for the following position on CraigsList:
We are a local internet Marketing company, looking for a junior designer to help with overflow design work. Full time, in office. No freelance or out of office work.
You will take overflow website designs from the Creative Director as well as website maintenance work which includes updating graphics and low-end HTML changes. We are looking with someone familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and if you have HTML experience that would be great, if not , that’s okay we will train you in HTML.
pay depending on experience $9-$10 an hour.”
Unfortunately, I did not get the position. It was very exciting to think there have been a possiblity of have a position with real world experience.
…As for school, I am really enjoying my Illustration, Illustrator and Photoshop classes.
