For a class project in Web Design, we need to make a band website. Strangely enough, I recently designed a band logo for RetroStatic (website coming soon…). Recently, they had a show for Taylorsville Days and got a banner created for the event. They encouranged me to do the same. Below are the designs and a photo featuring the banner… IN ACTION!!!

Fonts: HOUSE Industries

While I was looking for some info about the latest issue of WIRED above, about J.J. Abrams and found out about HOUSE Industries. House Industries, who is a font design firm designed the cover. The fonts are really fun and amazing. They also sell some really kewl T-shirts.

General Update!!!

I just want to apologize for not updating for a while, life has been a bit CRAZY!!!

Recently, I applied for the following position on CraigsList:

“Junior Designer needed ASAP – Low skill OK

We are a local internet Marketing company, looking for a junior designer to help with overflow design work. Full time, in office. No freelance or out of office work.

You will take overflow website designs from the Creative Director as well as website maintenance work which includes updating graphics and low-end HTML changes. We are looking with someone familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and if you have HTML experience that would be great, if not , that’s okay we will train you in HTML.

pay depending on experience $9-$10 an hour.”

Unfortunately, I did not get the position. It was very exciting to think there have been a possiblity of have a position with real world experience.

…As for school,  I am really enjoying my Illustration, Illustrator and Photoshop classes.

Slumber Party…

Due to an issue with the “9″ key on my MacBook, it gets spends the night where shiny new toys are born and all dreams come true… THE LOCAL APPLE STORE!!!!

XANGO Overdrive ‘08

I recently worked an assignment for Sound Concepts through Spherion (Temp Agency) at the XANGO Overdrive ‘08 Conference. I know little, if anything about how XANGO works. Anyways, the reason I am writing this post is (as you can tell from the graphic above) that they had amazing design concept for the convention/conference. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me to capture additional banners and signs. …Just thought I’d share!!!
